Mumbai: Financial Capital of India & “City of Dreams”
The city derived its name from the goddess Mumbadevi worshipped by the fishermen community- Kolis. The city is popularly known as the City of Seven Islands, with the small islands scattered around in the Arabian Sea. The city is the financial, commercial and financial capital of India. How to Reach

Airport - Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport (formerly Sahar International Airport) is situated around 40 kms from the main city. This is second busiest airport in India. This airport plays host more than twenty one international airlines and ten domestic airlines that connect to more than 50 destinations both inside and outside the country. Equipped with a domestic and international terminal the airport has all facilities including ATM counters and foreign exchange too. Terminal 1 is the domestic terminal whereas terminal 2 is the international terminal and both the terminals are 4kms apart.

Main Attractions
Mumbai is one of the favourite tourist destinations in the world, with ample of historical places, sea beaches, street food and entertainment world.
- Colonial buildings: Built by the British rulers in India, the colonial buildings are one of the oldest attractions in the city. From Churchgate to Colaba the buildings have a colonial touch. - Gateway of India: One of the landmark which defines existence of Mumbai, it is one of the must visit places. The structure is basalt arch of 26 metres in height. Thi s”Tajmahal of Mumbai” is located on the waterfront in the Apollo Bunder area of South Mumbai and overlooks the Arabian Sea.
- Haji Ali Dargah: It is one of the famous mosque and dargah (tomb) located at the off coast of Worli in the southern part of city.
- Siddhivinayak Temple: One of the most famous Lord Ganesha temple located in the Prabhadevi area of Mumbai.
- Film City: One of the places open for common man to witness shooting of Bollywood movies at different studios. It is one of the must visit places near Sanjay Gandhi National Park at Goregaon East, Mumbai. There are tours organized for the visit to Film City.
